SAFER Foundation is the first locally-joint humanitarian appeals initiative in the Philippines. Our founding organizations—Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO), NASSA/Caritas Philippines, and Humanitarian Response Consortium (HRC)—have decades of experience in working with communities affected by natural disasters and conflict, nationwide reach, and localized tools and approaches for disaster response, rehabilitation, and recovery.
Last February 12, 2019, SAFER Foundation provided 40 farmers from Baco, Oriental Mindoro cash assistance amounting to Php100,000 (Php2,500 per family). The assistance is intended to help farmer beneficiaries affected by Tropical Depression Usman recover their livelihoods more quickly.
SAFER Foundation continues to appeal to the public for donations.
