The biggest communication organization in the Philippines is partnering with the UP CMC Department of Communication Research for the 7th National Communication Research Conference (NCRC), taking place on November 12-13, 2021.
The Philippine Communication Association (PCS), the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE), and the Philippine Association for Communication and Media Research, Inc (PACMRI), with the UP CMC Department of Communication Research as the event’s main convenor held a virtual signing ceremony via Zoom last October 4, 2021, to officialize and celebrate the nine-year-long partnership, first held in 2012.
The NCRC provides a venue for students, faculty, and media professionals across the country to share and disseminate their studies in the field of communication and media beyond the classroom.
This year’s NCRC theme is “Breaking through outbreaks and breakdowns: Re-searching communication and media in the pandemic.” According to UP CMC Department Communication Research chair Dr. Randy Jay C. Solis, this theme “aims to highlight the breakthroughs, discoveries and broadening perspectives in communication research in the new normal.”
While the submission for abstracts has just concluded, the event is open to everyone, including those not presenting a paper. The deadline for registration is on November 5, but early bird registration rates only last until October 15.
Complete details on registration for the event can be found on the official NCRC Facebook page. DZUP
