Nominations for the next University Librarian of UP Diliman are now open.

The Search Committee has begun accepting nominations on Thursday, August 6 and will continue to do so until August 18.

Nominators, including those who want to nominate themselves, must submit signed documents such as a nomination letter, letter indicating willingness to serve, curriculum vitae including a one-page summary and a passport-sized photo, and vision paper before the deadline.

The University Librarian is appointed for a three-year term and is primarily tasked to supervise the University Library while concurrently serving as the ex officio University Archivist, based on the University Library Organic Act of 1991.

Interviews with stakeholders and the nominees will start on August 24. The Search Committee is expected to submit its report to the Chancellor on or before September 7.

University Librarians are appointed by the UP Board of Regents upon recommendation of the Chancellor and nomination by the University President.
