On January 9, 2022, the UP Diliman Office of the Chancellor released Memorandum No. FRN-22-003 or “Work-From-Home Arrangement” from January 10 to January 18, 2022. The notice is the university’s response to the continuing rise of COVID-19 cases in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Observance of “Updated Guidelines for Returning-To-Work Employees” dated January 5 from the same office remains with the suspension of the provision that allows 30-50 percent of staff to physically report to work.

The memorandum also states that “Offices performing essential functions such as the CMO, DAO, DBO, DCO, DEMO, OC, OSH, OUR, PSSO, UFS, UPCC and UPDP shall operate on a lean skeleton workforce with precautionary health measures in place.”

Security and utility personnel are advised to strictly follow health and safety protocols at work.

Meanwhile, the UP Health Service (UPHS) is closed from January 9 to 18. According to its notice, face-to-face services including the emergency room are not available. However, Telemedicine and RT-PCR for individuals with the confirmed schedules until January 12 continue.

Finally, the Diliman Information Office (DIO) has announced on the UP Diliman website that the Academic Oval and other public areas inside the campus will be closed starting today, January 10. DZUP
