Students from the University of the Philippines Los Baños took the top spots in the 11th Certified Industrial Engineering (CIE) Examination. Out of the two hundred sixty passers, nine of the top ten spots were taken by students from UP Los Baños.
Franz Christian Velasco took 2nd play with a score of 87.4 percent; Korine Carmela Gualberto got the 3rd place with a score of 83.9 percent; Aaron Perez placed 4th with 83 percent; Mark Kenneth Nofuente’s got 6th place with a score of 81.7 percent; Christine Angela Matienzo and John Kenneth Punongbayan tied for the 7th place with 81.3 percent; Jane Kimberly landed on 8th place with 80.9%; and Nikko Trio and Tom Keizer Jambalos took 10th place with with 80%.
The 11th CIE exam results were released last December 16, 2021, by the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE) through the Industrial Engineering Certification Board (IECB).
According to the official website of UP Los Baños, all two hundred sixty passers of the 11th CIE are eligible to apply for the Associate ASEAN Engineer under the Philippine Technological Council, an umbrella organization of 13 professional engineering associations, which also administers the ASEAN Engineer Registry in the Philippines.
