Target ng pamahalaan sa Bayanihan, Bakunahan 2, nalagpasan

Nalagpasan ng pamahalaan ang target nito sa Byanihan, Bakunahan 2, ang ikalawang yugto ng National Vaccination Days.

Ayon kay Cabinet Secretary at acting Presidential Spokesperson Karlo Nograles, naungusan ang 7.3 million na target dahil 7,497,802 ang nabakunahan mula Dec. 15 hanggang Dec. 23, 2021.

“We thank our kababayans for their cooperation and for the steps they have taken to protect themselves, their families and their communities,” sabi ni Nograles sa isang pahayag.

Kanya ring pinuri ang ating mga magigiting na mga medical frontliner, vaccinator at volunteer para sa kanilang hindi matatawaran na sakripisyo, dedikasyon at paglilingkod sa bansa.

Ayon sa ulat, pinakamataas ang Region 4 o CALABARZON sa pinagsamasamang bilang ng nabakunahan na umabot sa 1,244,191 na sinundan ng Region 3 o Central Luzon na may 919,822 at Western Visayas na may 658,805.

Habang ang Ilocos Region naman ay nakapagtala ng pinakamataas na porsyento sa kanilang target na mabakunahan na 202,224 dahil nakapagbakuna ito ng 561,858 o katumbas ng 277.84 percent. 

Kabilang din ang Cagayan Valley na nakakuha ng 232.57 percent habang 173.27 percent  naman ang sa Northern Mindanao.

Sinabi rin ni Nograles na siya ring chairman ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) na dahil sa pagtama ng Bagyong Odette sa ilang bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao, nahinto ang pagbabakuna sa mga lugar na sakop nito.

Nagpa-alala rin ang kalihim na dahil sa nagbabadyang banta ng Omicron variant, kinakailangan na maging mapagmatyag at alerto sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa minimum public health standards maliban sa pagbabakuna. DZUP
